Russian Govt. Bans Egyptian Airways EgyptAir
The Russian government have stopped all flights by Egypt's national aircraft EgyptAir to Moscow from Nov. 14, the RIA Novosti news agency reported Friday.
The airport received a telegram from Russia's Federal Air Transport Agency (Rosaviatsia) stopping all EgyptAir flights starting from Nov. 14.
Rosaviatsia declined to comment when contacted by RIA Novosti.
President Vladimir Putin <Russian president> ordered a suspension of all Russian passenger flights to Egypt on Nov. 6 shortly after the Russian Airbus A321 crashed in Egypt's Sinai.
After the suspension was announced, EgyptAir became the only aircraft operating between the two countries, flying from Cairo to Moscow three times a week.
